    Job Description

    Vacancy Announcement

    Sundar Nepal Sanstha (BNA) is Non-profit, Social Development Organization devoted to deliver the quality services to the community is implementing the “Strengthening Urban Preparedness and Earthquake Response in Western Region of Nepal (SUPER-II)) Project in partnership with UNDP Nepal. The project is implementing in Karnali province of Nepal and focusing Birendranagar Municipality and other Palikas of Surkhet. The project is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions in order to successful implementation of the project.

    1. Position: Admin & Finance Officer: 1 Person

    Minimum Qualification and Experience: Bachelor Degree of Commerce, Business Studies or Equivalent Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent subjects is preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in independently handling budgeting, financial accounting, planning and analysis in I/NGO projects, demonstrated experience in the use of MS office Package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.) & Internet, experience working in a computerized accounting environment like Navision, FAMAS etc. ability to lead financial management of the project/program and link this with the overall financial management of the organization.

    Major Responsibility: The Admin & Finance Officer will be responsible to manage finance, administrative, human resources, operation, and monitoring as well as to ensure financial compliance with UNDP regulations and the organization's policy, budget control, and financial reporting. Lead administrative, financial and procurement management for the project, establish and follow a strong system on payment procedure, funds control, cash management, and internal controls, and ensure accounting standards and conditions included in the grant. Prepare and implement charts of accounts, reporting templates, reporting from software and internal controls systems, prepare and submit financial reports, maintain good communication, networking and coordination with stakeholders. The Admin & Finance Officer will work full time on the project.

    2. Position: Reporting and Quality Assurance Officer: 1 Person

    Minimum Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with expertise in computer-based database management. Minimum 3 years' experience in documentation, reporting and quality assurance.

    Major Responsibility:

    • Excellent skills in MS office Package (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.) & software database management and able to monitor data quality and consistency, data quality assessments, and prepare periodic reports on project results.
    • Support to the design and implementation of the project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) Plan and ensure monitoring and evaluation methodology and data collection systems that are appropriate and practical.
    • Keep track record of the project activities and deliverables versus work plan. 
    • Should have experience using of statistical tools, analytical, and report writing skills and knowledge extracting skills.
    • Good language skills (oral and written) in English and Nepali
