Women Empowerment Action Forum (WEAF) was established in 2060 B.S. dated 2060/12/29 with registration No.130/060/061 at District Administration Office, Dailekh. It was affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Kathmandu with registration no.17716/061/062 on 2062/01/14. its PAN is 301969059. Women empowerment Action Forum (WEAF), Nepal was established in 1999 from the efforts of women’s organizations of Dailekh district, Nepal advocating in inequality existed between man and woman. The non-governmental and non-profitable organization was established with major aim of reducing gender inequality and different types of discrimination presented herein by empowering members of society through economic, physical, human and social resource development. It was established to act as a non-profit making, non-governmental, non-political social development organization. WEAF, Dailekh has been working with the partnership of various governmental and non-governmental organizations in the field of sustainable social mobilization, community empowerment and development adopting issues with right based approach especially focusing the rural girls and women. WEAF has clearly defined the primary focus groups which are socially, economically, culturally and politically deprived and disadvantaged communities.
