KIRDARC Nepal is implementing “USAID Equity and Inclusion in Education Activity”, in all districts of Karnali Province with technical support from Plan International and funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Therefore, KIRDARC Nepal is expecting job applications from suitable, qualified, dynamic, and motivated candidates to fill the vacant positions as mentioned below.
Position Title: Province Director – “USAID Equity and Inclusion in Education Activity” (1 Position)
Location: Birendranagar, Surkhet
Academic Qualification and Experience: Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, public administration or a related field. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in project/program management, particularly in roles of authority, preferably within education projects in Nepal, specifically in Karnali Province. He/she should have a deep understanding of the Nepali education system and structure. Experience in overseeing USAID funded projects is advantageous.
Key Skills and Knowledge required:- Advanced knowledge of project management, international and national education programs, guidelines, and policies; In-depth understanding of the Nepal government’s provincial priority program in education and related policies and plans; School Sector Development Plan (SSDP), School Sector Education Plan (SESP) and the role of provincial and local government and development partners in its implementation. Basic understanding about the issues of equity and inclusion (EI) in education and EI-related disbursement-linked indicators (DLI) at the local level.
Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, strategic planning, coordination, and negotiation. Strong problem-solving abilities and adeptness in building relationships. Skilled in people management and team development. Experience in effectively managing time and resources under constraints. Proficient in communicating complex technical information in both English and Nepali, both verbally and in writing. Proven IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Residents of Karnali Province or those with over five years of working experience in Karnali, women, and candidates from minority groups will receive high priority.
