TERM OF REFERENCE FOR Constancy for the development of an organizational 5 Years Strategic Plan
Introduction of Everest Club, Dailekh :
Everest Club was established in 1993 as a non-profit organization for cultural and social service provider, especially development of health, education, sanitation, agriculture promotion, WASH promotion, natural economy, social empowerment, disaster risk reduction and climate change adoption, etc in Dailekh, Kalikot, Jumla, jajarkot Districts as per aspiration of Karnali.
From the beginning, it has been working to implement sustainable development with primary focus on the deprived and disadvantaged community by qualified, experienced professional and dedicated young hands. Now NGO is working for creation of self- reliance society through improve their (Focused community) socio-economic status. Everest club is working in the area of renewal energy promotion, WASH promotion, drinking water scheme functionality, income generation, sustainable soil management, small irrigation; Marketing, advocacy and networking, empower and organization development to creation of self- reliance society through improve their (Focused community) socio-economic status.
Background information/context
Everest Club (EC) recognizes the value of developing a strategic plan to assess the strengths and weaknesses of our approach and to consider the internal and external factors that influence the trajectory of our work. Everest Club (EC) plans to develop a five-year strategic plan for 2081-2085 B.S, to reconfirm the Organization’s vision and to establish a design process and approach for the effective implementation and sustainability of its mandate over the next five years. Everest Club (EC) firmly believes that its Board, staff , beneficiaries, partners and key stakeholders are at the centre of this strategic planning effort, helping to assess ways in which to strengthen the impact of the organization, providing direct input into consultations. The organization has already made a five-year strategic plan in 2076 to 2080 BS. The organization is trying to develop a strategic plan for 2081 to 2085 B.S. Everest Club (EC) is seeking an experienced and qualified consultancy firm or professional to lead the development of a comprehensive strategic plan.
Objective of the assignment
The overall objective of this assignment is multifaceted, aiming to articulate and guide the development of the Organization Five-year Strategic Plan 2081 to 2085 B.S for Everest Club (EC) Dailekh. The assignment encompasses the following key objectives:
a. Alignment with Vision, Mission, and Values:
To create a Organization Strategic Plan that is closely aligned with Everest Club (EC) vision, mission, and core values. This ensures that the strategy remains firmly rooted in the organization's overarching principles.
b. Contextual Analysis and Inclusivity:
To conduct a gender-responsive analysis of the socio-economic context within Nepal, taking into consideration the multifaceted dimensions of social, economic, and climate injustices. This analysis will inform the strategy development process
c. Development and Impact:
To construct a strategy that leverages Everest Club (EC) development, Climate Change, humanitarian, and influencing work to address the root causes of challenges. It will inform long-term programmatic approaches, encompassing advocacy, campaigns, and influencing efforts, with a view to achieving scalable impact.
d. Partnership and Funding Strategies:
To inform partnership and funding strategies that will enable the realization of programmatic goals articulated in the new organization Strategic Plan. This includes an assessment of existing partnership modalities and working approaches and how they align with future resource mobilization efforts, including funding acquisition.
e. Alignment with Global and National Priorities:
To develop a new Everest Strategic Plan that aligns seamlessly with Everest Club for Humanity International's global strategy, national priorities, and periodic plans developed by the National Planning Commission of Nepal.
Scope of Work
The scope of work for the Consultant will include but not be limited to:
Workshop Preparation: The consultant will be responsible for creating a detailed agenda for a two-day workshop, including the following elements:
One day dedicated to Organization Strategy Development.
Facilitation: The consultant will develop an agenda and facilitate the one-day workshop involving Everest Club Board and staff, ensuring active participation and fostering collaboration among participants.
Draft Strategy: Following the workshop outcomes and document reviews, the consultant shall draft both the program and business development strategies. These drafts should be prepared for sharing with Everest Club.
Timeline
The consultancy is expected to be completed within a timeframe of 15 working days between 12 June 2024 and 26 June 2024,

The consultant is expected to deliver the following outputs:
Supervision Arrangements
The Consultant will report to the Executive director of Everest Club (EC), Dailekh. and maintain regular communication to update on the progress of the consultancy.
General assumptions and dependencies
The consultant will abide by all the Everest Club (EC) Dailekh safeguarding policies. EC, Dailekh will orient them during the contract sign. Entire presentations, fact findings, reports will be asset of Project under Everest Club.
Budget and payment information
The payment will be made in instalments in accordance with Everest Club Dailekh rules as follows.
Other important information
The sub-contracting from the consultant for the services is not acceptable.
